“I have a very selective eater. My son has struggled with trying foods of different textures since he was 2, and he is 7 now. He gags and even throws up when faced with a new food. These fruit and veggie friends cards have been sooo helpful in getting him to feel comfortable to try new foods and talking about how foods feel. My other son, who is much less selective about textures also loves the cards and asks for them if he is unfamiliar with a fruit or veggie that we are eating They often ask me for other cards for other foods that we are eating as well. I highly recommend this tool to help with kids who struggle with various textures of food. The struggle is real ...but these are a helpful and positive way to introduce new foods or textures or just making it fun to eat fruits and vegetables. “—Aisia C

I can certainly say that it made my daughter interested in vegetables. She wanted me to buy the ones she hadn’t heard of and then she actually tried them. When she eats veggies, she often refers to the cards and what each veggie’s super power is.  —Jamie S.

“My two-year-old became anxious around dinner time not knowing what would be served. We used our ‘veggies are friends’ cards to give him a preview of the menu and make predictions on colors and textures of the food. This helped to turn meal time into playtime when he matched the cards with items on his plate! We would then sort the cards into foods he has tried and ones he hasn’t. We even used our cards as a grocery list for him to bring to the farmers market and try to locate! In seeing cooked quinoa, “aw they’re so cute.” —Erica A.

“I love these fruit and veggie flash cards! The illustrations are adorable first of all! And I really love all the information about the food. My kids liked talking about how the food feels when they bite it and I really believe that it sparked their curiosity to help them to try new foods that they wouldn’t have otherwise. These cards are great and if you are trying to help you child try more vegetables, I highly recommend buying these!”—Skye F.
