Spicy Salmon Bites for Sushi Bowls

If you’ve been searching for a new *delicious* way to cook salmon for your family, this is it! I personally love salmon so much and all my kids enjoy it too but I got a little tired of our regular salmon recipes and decided to kick it up a notch with these Spicy Salmon bites. We usually eat our salmon in a “sushi style bowl” and these go so well in our sushi bowls with rice, avocado, small chopped cucumbers and seaweed.

The cool thing about this recipe is that it cooks in literally 10 minutes! So you have a healthy and nutritious meal ready for your family in just minutes. Perfect for busy moms like me with lots of kids afternoon sports and homework!

You gather the ingredients you need to make your spicy salmon and chive sauce, mix it all in a bowl, dice your salmon into small 1/2 inch cubes and then mix them into the sauce and either throw them in the air fryer for a few minutes OR you can also cook them on a griddle or grill. I’ve cooked it both ways and it turned out delicious both ways. Personally I like to make things in my air fryer because its just so convenient and mess free but I’ve also cooked these salmon bites on my black stone as well.

Obviously with the name Spicy Salmon Bites you’ll realize this has a bit of spice to it but you already must like spice if you’re here reading this recipe. My kids don’t mind a little bit of spice so they love it but its also not too spicy to scare them off. With the chives and the spicy sauce and seasonings its just so flavorful and delicious I would eat this every night if I could.

Here is how easy these Spicy Salmon Bites are to make!

Ingredients:

  • 1 +1/2 lb -2 lbs salmon cut into 1/2 inch cubes (I leave the skin on because its so nutritious)

For the sauce:

Instructions:

  1. First pre-dice your salmon fillet into 1/2 inch bite size cubes.

  2. Next, in a glass bowl, mix up your spicy sauce ingredients. Mix thoroughly.

  3. Add your salmon cubes into the sauce and combine it well.

  4. If you’re cooking in an air fryer, add a piece of parchment paper to the pan and then pour the sauced up salmon bites onto it.

  5. Air fry on 415 for 8-10 minutes.

  6. Enjoy on top of sushi rice with your favorite vegetables. We like to put ours with avocado, diced cucumbers, seaweed and sometimes even with just broccoli. Add some extra sesame seasoning to the top before serving.

Enjoy!
